"Get you some of this "slow, down, fast.""

Our all American girl playing in the creek with her all American dog, Independence.

Because being a kid means muddy feet, finding crayfish, dog slobber, and summer time popsicles.

And being the parent means enjoying the clean up of an afternoon well spent.

Party Rock Boxers.

When I walk on by- dogs be looking like damn she fly.

I jump to the beat, running down the street in my new lafreak.

Girl look at that Boxer.

Girl Look at that Boxer.

They work out.

This is how I roll
Animal print pants out of control.

When I'm at the yard, security just can't fight them off

When I'm at the beach, I'm in a Speedo trying to tan my cheeks

This is how I roll, come on Harlem it's time to go

We headed to the bar, Indie don't be nervous

No shoes, no shirt, and we still get service

When we walk in the spot, this is what we see
Everybody stops and they staring at me
We got passion in my paws and we ain't afraid to show it

We're sassy and we know it.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle yeah

AWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

"There's a shewolf in the mudroom,
Open up, and set her free.
There's a shewolf in the mudroom,
let her out so she can pee."

A doggie door leads to fun and fear.

David installed a doggie door going from our kitchen to the mudroom. You see, we had one going from the mudroom to the dogyard, but now that December has rolled in with it deliciously cold mornings, we needed to shut off the room completely. Long story short (and I'm sure I'll blog later on the subject making it a long story) we heat our home using only wood stoves. When you have a old house with old rooms, cold attacks them like a cougar in a pool bar.

The dogs have gotten used to having a doggie door to go in an out of so, a second one was needed for the kitchen-to-the-mudroom door. Our youngest Indie took to it no problem- going in and out of the door as if it was a game.  In this picture here she is actually posing for me. The dog is a ham. But as for Harlem, our oldest, fear has gripped her little doggie paws, making it almost impossible to go out a  identical, but new door. Harlem has phobias of most inanimate objects. Such as doors.  The saga continues in the next post.

New Company.

Our beautiful sister in law got herself a new little pet this past weekend. We have the joy of having this little gal stay with us for a month. As you can see Indie doesn't quite know what to make of this pint size "puppykittennotliketheredthingthatcomestothedooreverynightthing."

If you have never been around a ferret then you have never seen uninhibited, and utter, joy over absolutely nothing at all. These little creatures are full of pep and never seem to be in a bad mood.  I will enjoy the month that she stays with us, and I'll try to get some good pictures of her in action- which will prove quite a task.

Her name is C.C. Clumsy, and Curious:)

Two Peas in a Blanket Pod

Maybe they were cold.

Maybe they were making a blanket fort.

Maybe they were pretending to be Endorian Ewoks.

I'm not really quite sure, but I do know that this is pretty special.
