A doggie door leads to fun and fear.

David installed a doggie door going from our kitchen to the mudroom. You see, we had one going from the mudroom to the dogyard, but now that December has rolled in with it deliciously cold mornings, we needed to shut off the room completely. Long story short (and I'm sure I'll blog later on the subject making it a long story) we heat our home using only wood stoves. When you have a old house with old rooms, cold attacks them like a cougar in a pool bar.

The dogs have gotten used to having a doggie door to go in an out of so, a second one was needed for the kitchen-to-the-mudroom door. Our youngest Indie took to it no problem- going in and out of the door as if it was a game.  In this picture here she is actually posing for me. The dog is a ham. But as for Harlem, our oldest, fear has gripped her little doggie paws, making it almost impossible to go out a  identical, but new door. Harlem has phobias of most inanimate objects. Such as doors.  The saga continues in the next post.
