A lesson from Independence.

Being a wannabe farmer means that you might harvest things that you don't necessarily expect.  For example- I'm really good at harvesting weeds in the garden, stinkbugs in the bathroom,  a constant layer of mud on the kitchen floor, and jowl crop.

What's jowl crop you say?!  Ah let me have our pup Indie demonstrate!

Notice the slime on the kibble?  Yah, thats when you know it ripe.

Jowl Side A.

Jowl Side B, complete with ticked off look.

Jowl Crop is produced by a kibble consuming boxer.  It is started as kibble in a dog dish, it matures in the boxers mouth, and when ripe- falls out of the boxer's jowl.  Jowl crop can be found all season's of the year and is grown in locations such as the muddy kitchen floor, bedroom comforters, unsuspecting pant legs, and anywhere else in the house your sweet pup is willing to grow it.

I do not suggest that you try to make collard greens with jowl crop, and or pickle it for later consumption. But instead let your dog reconsume what it help produce, and hence, revel in the beauty of natures cycle.
